Boudoir Photography Session Planning
Index
Methodology
The Boudoir Project involves a deep deconstruction process that will give each woman in each shoot the appropriate depth so that the truth is exposed at the moment she is willing to be photographed and drawn. This process as a whole even allows the creation of tales and parables that will shed light on the most diverse virtues, secrets, desires, vulnerabilities and feelings that will be documented in the form of writing, photos and drawings. Everything summarized in a single book.
Project steps
Personal Storytelling
We encourage the model to share personal stories and experiences related to her journey of self-discovery. This can be done through written testimonials, interviews, or even excerpts from dialogue before and during the photo shoot.
Identification of Archetypes
We will use Carl Jung's archetypes to explore different facets of the model's personality and femininity. This may involve archetypes such as the "Wild Woman," the "Mother," the "Witch," among others.
Heroine's Journey
We will structure the photo shoot as a journey, using as a foundation the classic stages of the "monomyth" explored in the Hero's Journey and Myth from the perspectives of Joseph Campbell and Vladimir Propp, respectively. This will give shape and an evolutionary sequence to the script of the shoot, leading towards catharsis or the elixir.
Exploration of Sexuality
We will address sexuality as an integral part of the female identity. Allowing the woman to express her sexuality authentically, highlighting the beauty and naturalness of this aspect of life.
Breaking Paradigms and Taboos
We will challenge social norms and taboos associated with female sexuality. Emphasizing freedom of choice and non-judgmental acceptance, encouraging the model to break free from social stigmas.
Artistic Expression
We will integrate artistic elements such as settings, lighting, and costumes to create a captivating visual narrative that reflects the story, emotional journey, and expression of sexuality.
Integration of Symbols and Metaphors
We will use symbols and metaphors that represent her journey of self-discovery, which may include elements related to nature, transformations, or personally significant symbols.
Photo shoot
The final stage is the capture of the photo shoot. On average, it takes two days in a predefined setting within the context of the model and photographer's narrative.
By creating a script that incorporates these elements, you can provide a unique and powerful experience, promoting innovation, ease and breaking paradigms.
